BAKE OFF RULES AND TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

HOME BAKES

  • ENTRY TO THE BAKE OFF IS FREE & OPEN TO ANYONE OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES.

  • ANYONE 16 OR UNDER MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT (OVER 18).

  • ENTRIES MUST BE HOME MADE AND NOT SHOP BOUGHT

  • PROOF OF BAKING MUST BE PROVIDED BY AT LEAST TWO IMAGES OF THE ITEM BEING MADE FROM SCRATCH AT HOME.

  • THERE IS NO LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF CATEGORIES ENTERED

  • ENTRANTS MUST PRE-REGISTER.

  • REGISTRATION IS VIA THE FORM ACCESSED ON THE SERIOUS ABOUT ST NEOTS FREE APP.

  • REGISTRATION WILL REMAIN OPEN RIGHT UP TO THE START OF THE EVENT.

  • ON THE DAY, ENTRANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO ARRIVE AT THE PRIORY CENTRE NO LATER THAN MIDDAY.

  • ENTRIES WILL BE JUDGED BY THE PANEL BETWEEN 12:30PM & 2PM 

  • WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED AND AWARDED BEFORE 3PM (TIMINGS ANNOUNCED ON THE DAY).

  • THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL. NO CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ENTERED IN TO.

  • ENTRANTS AGREE TO PARTICPATE IN PUBLICITY WITH SERIOUS ABOUT ST NEOTS.

  • ENTRANTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TAKING AWAY THEIR CREATIONS AT THE END OF THE EVENT.

ST NEOTS SAUSAGE ROLL - LIVE BAKE OFF

  • ENTRY IS FREE & OPEN TO ANYONE OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES.

  • ENTRANTS 16 OR UNDER MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT (OVER 18).

  • INITIAL ENTRIES ARE FOR THE RECIPE IDEA. DESCRIPTION AND ILLUSTRATION.

  • ENTRY IS VIA THE FORM ACCESSED ON THE SERIOUS ABOUT ST NEOTS FREE APP. 

  • JUDGES WILL TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE RECIPE IDEA, NAME OF THE CREATION, USE OF LOCALLY SOURCED INGREDIENTS AND LOCAL SUPPLIERS.

  • CLOSING DATE FOR ENTRIES FOR THE SAUSAGE ROLL LIVE BAKE OFF IS FRIDAY 15TH MARCH.

  • SIX ENTRANTS WILL THEN BE SHORTLISTED TO BE FINALISTS, WHO WILL THEN BAKE THEIR CREATIONS LIVE ON THE DAY (23RD).

  • ENTRANTS MUST PROVIDE ALL OF THEIR INGREDIENTS.

  • ENTRANTS MUST PROVIDE ALL OF THEIR OWN COOKING UTENSILS, POTS AND PANS.

  • THE ENTRANTS WILL USE THE PRIORY CENTRE KITCHEN* AND OVEN TO PREPARE AND BAKE THEIR CREATION.

  • THE FINALISTS WILL BE INVITED TO THE PRIORY CENTRE (DATE TBA) TO SEE THE KITCHEN.

  • THE PASTRY CAN BE MADE THE DAY BEFORE, BUT ALL FILLINGS MUST BE MADE FROM SCRATCH ON THE DAY.

  • THE BAKERS WILL HAVE 90 MINUTES TO MAKE AND BAKE THEIR SAUSAGE ROLLS.

  • FINALISTS CAN ARRIVE AT THE PRIORY CENTRE FROM 10:30AM BUT NO LATER THAN 11:30 AM

  • WINNERS WILL BE ANNOUNCED AND AWARDED BEFORE 3PM (TIMINGS ANNOUNCED ON THE DAY).

  • THE JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL. NO CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ENTERED IN TO.

  • ENTRANTS AGREE TO PARTICPATE IN PUBLICITY WITH SERIOUS ABOUT ST NEOTS.

  • ENTRANTS AGREE TO BE CO-OWNERS OF THE RECIPE WITH SERIOUS ABOUT ST NEOTS

  • THE WINNING SAUSAGE ROLL WILL BECOME THE 2024 ST NEOTS SAUSAGE ROLL AND BE ADDED TO THE LIST OF BAKES AT WELCH BAKES, BOHEMIA AND IF VEGETARIAN, CHAII HUB.
